These are exciting times at Hackettstown Medical Center. The hospital recently relocated its physical rehabilitation services, part of Atlantic Rehabilitation, to a newly renovated spa-like facility now conveniently located on the fourth floor of the hospital. At this new location, patients can expect the same high-quality physical, occupational and speech therapy for adults and kids, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as fitness and audiology services.
“The new space allows us to expand our services for cardiac rehab, pediatrics and adult rehabilitative needs,” says Loretta Ritter, rehabilitation manager for Atlantic Rehabilitation at Hackettstown Medical Center.
As part of Hackettstown Medical Center’s vision of promoting health and wellness throughout the region, visitors continue to enjoy a variety of programs that foster a better quality of life, including a unique form of exercise therapy called Redcord. Developed in Norway, Redcord relies on the weight of a person’s own body for resistance, and can be used regardless of age, strength, size and physical ability.
Atlantic Rehabilitation's focus on wellness and treatment programs includes orthopedic and sports injuries, work-related injuries, neurological conditions, cognitive and learning impairments, and fitness.
“As health care evolves, we’re able to evolve with it,” says Ritter. “We’re excited for our patients to join us in our new facility, allowing us to care for their therapeutic needs.”
Since opening its doors in late June, the team at Atlantic Rehabilitation at Hackettstown Medical Center has provided excellence in service to meet the rehabilitative and wellness needs of residents within the community and looks forward to serving future patients of all ages with care that best benefits each individual.
