With heavy hearts, the Atlantic Health System family shares the sad news of the passing of Dexter D. Earle, Immediate Past Chair of the Atlantic Health System Board of Trustees.
Earle served as Chair of the Atlantic Health Board from 2018 until May 2021, when he assumed the role of Immediate Past Chair. He became a trustee in 2009 and, over the next 12 years, worked diligently alongside system leadership to drive performance and growth across the organization. He was well known for his steadfast commitment to delivering the highest quality care to our friends and neighbors in the community and for his dedication to caring for our physicians and caregivers. Among his fellow trustees, Earle was well regarded for his calm and diplomatic leadership style and gentle kindness.
A retired partner of Goldman Sachs & Company, Dexter served as co-head of the Global Equities Derivatives Department. He served as Chair of Morristown Memorial Hospital’s Foundation Board from 2002 to 2007, as well as President of the Trustees Emeritus of Brooklyn’s Berkeley Carroll School and a member of the Mid-West Stock Exchange’s Board of Governors.
The Atlantic Health System family will miss Dexter dearly and will always be grateful that he devoted his time and talent to advancing our mission to build healthier communities.
