Atlantic Behavioral Health is committed to ending the stigma around mental health, substance misuse, and suicidal thoughts through our No More Whispers campaign. We are proud to offer high quality and dynamic educational tools to meet the mental health and resiliency needs of our communities.
For many people, the uncertainties around going back to school during a pandemic are the source of considerable stress. Caregivers at Goryeb Children’s Hospital and Atlantic Behavioral Health felt it was crucial to create a resource for school personnel, parents, caregivers, and families.
That is why the Back to School - How to Cope with Stress During Stressful Times Program was developed. This short community resource can be posted on school district web sites and shared with various community groups.
Topic covered include:
- Ways kids respond to stress
- Tips for managing stress
- Examples of coping skills
- When and where to seek help
Presented by Nicole Thomas, MD, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative, Morristown Medical Center.
