Chief Operating Officer, Atlantic Medical Group
With more than 20 years of experience in consulting and physician practice administration, Chris Herzog understands the operational needs and challenges associated with leading an organization towards one cohesive medical delivery system. As chief operating officer of Atlantic Medical Group, he provides the leadership and vision necessary to ensure that Atlantic Medical Group can effectively strengthen its operational efficiency and financial strength. He is responsible for driving the organization to meet its objectives, making sure that people, policies and procedures mirror the core values of Atlantic Medical Group.
Previously, Chris was chief financial officer at Atlantic Medical Group, responsible for all financial activities as they relate to the growing needs of the revenue cycle, strategic planning, capital and operating budget development and management, as well as accounting, financial and operating reporting capabilities. Before coming to Atlantic Medical Group, he was vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, the multispecialty ambulatory delivery arm of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Prior to his work at Johns Hopkins, he spent 10 years in the consulting field, most recently with Deloitte Consulting in their Health Care Strategy and Operations practice, where he focused on engagements related to revenue cycle, mergers and acquisitions and hospital and ambulatory operations evaluation and optimization. With a few accomplishments within all aspects of health care operations, Chris brings to Atlantic Medical Group a level of skill and expertise that will help the organization meet its operational responsibilities as it transitions to a new care model.
