In January 2022, Overlook opened the Hersh Children’s Center, which brings together Overlook’s pediatric inpatient unit and pediatric emergency department in one facility, offering more streamlined care. The next phase of the enhancement plan is underway throughout 2022, dramatically modernizing and enhancing the Frank and Mimi Walsh Maternity Center at Overlook Medical Center.
Schwartz has been recognized for her leadership in her role at Overlook. In 2022, ROI-NJ recognized Schwartz among its list of ROI Influencers: Women in Business, and in 2023, the publication also recognized her in the Health Care/Life Sciences category of its ROI Influencers: Power List.
In addition to her official duties at Overlook and Atlantic Health System, Schwartz also takes an active role on health-care related causes such as food insecurity, serving as a board member at the CUMAC organization. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sharing Network and a member of the board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County.
Schwartz joined Atlantic Health in 2016 as President of ChiIton Medical Center.
