When it comes to headaches, no two patients have the same combination of pain, impairment, triggers or severity, making diagnosis a critical first step in any approach to care.
At Atlantic Health System Neuroscience's Headache Center, we offer comprehensive evaluations with physicians from a wide variety of specialty areas, including neurology, clinical psychology, physiatry, pain management and integrative medicine. Our team analyzes each patient’s lifestyle, genetics, diet and triggers to diagnose the headache symptoms and create a customized treatment plan. Referrals for additional expert opinions and procedures will be provided as necessary.
When appropriate, our medical team may also recommend diagnostic imaging tests, such as magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and angiography.
