Some of our services are provided through Morristown Medical Center. Our heart experts at Electrophysiology Associates evaluate the pace, rate and pattern of the heart's electrical system. At times, many of our patients have no symptoms, but are evaluated because they have heart conditions that might increase the risk of life-threatening rhythms.
We treat a broad range of heart rhythm irregularities and associated conditions, such as:
- Atrial fibrillation and flutter
- Bradycardia or bradyarrhythmias
- Dizziness or light-headedness
- Fainting spells
- Heart block
- Implantable defibrillators
- Inherited arrhythmia syndromes
- Family history of sudden cardiac death or fainting (syncope)
- Genetic abnormalities - channelopathies, such as:
Long QT syndrome (LQTS)
Brugada syndrome
Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) - Rhythm related problems of cardiomyopathies
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C)
- Pacemakers and defibrillators
- Palpitations
- Premature heart beats (ectopic heart beats)
- Risk assessment for sudden death
