Hire Learning Residency Program

Atlantic Health System’s Hire Learning Residency Program is the destination for nurses who want to advance their career. We provide one-year, on-the-job training with a focus on continuum of care for eligible candidates who have recently graduated from nursing school.

Chilton, Hackettstown, Morristown, Newton and Overlook medical centers all host Hire Learning Residency Programs.

Those accepted will take part in a customized orientation, followed by work experience with our registered nurses and nurse educators, who provide both instruction and mentorship. In addition, through our Full Circle Observational Learning Experience, residents can shadow nurses in the units of their specialty, gaining an in-depth understanding of how to provide comprehensive care.
