The Spasticity and Gait Disorder Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center provides multidisciplinary medical and surgical treatment for children with spasticity and gait, or walking disorders. As part of Atlantic Health System Children's Health, our team takes a family-centered approach, collaborating with caregivers to develop a comprehensive care plan.
Our medical and surgical services include:
- Multidisciplinary consultations allowing patients and their families to be evaluated by our medical team without traveling to multiple offices
- Physical, occupational, speech , audiological and feeding therapies
- Neurosurgical procedures for spasticity, such as baclofen pump placement for intrathecal baclofen therapy, selective dorsal rhizotomies and deep brain stimulation
- Scoliosis surgery and orthopedic and procedures for tendon lengthening, hip and knee subluxation or reduction and fixation
- Orthotic therapy
- Social work support
Medical Team
In addition to our physicians, our medical team consists of a social worker, a certified prosthetist orthotist and a nurse navigator.
