Atlantic Health System’s Parent Education Departments offer an online childbirth class for expectant parents who are unable to attend on-site class or want further education.
Our user-friendly, web-based program uses videos, personal stories, animations, activities and games to help soon-to-be parents prepare for the arrival of their new baby.
Online Childbirth Topics
Some of the material covered in our program includes:
- Pregnancy
- – bodily changes, discomforts, warning signs, nutrition and exercise
- Labor
- – preparing for birth, pre-labor signs and onset of labor, including a showcase of real-life birth stories
- Medical procedures
- – epidurals and cesarean sections
- Comfort techniques
- – breathing, relaxation, massage, visualization, focal points, hydrotherapy, labor and pushing positions, and advice for partners
Getting Connected
Our online childbirth class works on both PCs and Macs with high-speed Internet access. The cost is $200 with access for nine months.
Once registered, users will receive information to access the course that will be valid for nine months following their initial login.
