Our Professional Staff
Like any winning team, quality players and teamwork are crucial to your success before, during and after surgery. The Advanced Surgical Associates weight loss team is there to give you all the support and winning strategies to reach your goals.
- Psychologists perform routine pre-operative psychological tests to determine your suitability for surgery and to ease any stress or anxiety you may have. Surgery has a big impact on patient’s lives; working with a psychologist will give patients the skills to cope with the life changes that come with surgery.
- Nutritionists and Dieticians help you develop an eating plan that will balance health with weight loss and teach you tips and tricks that you can use for the rest of your life. Diet is also a crucial component of surgery – patients are required to follow a strict diet pre- and post-op. Each patient is different so our nutritionists/dieticians will customize a plan just for you.
- Medical Assistants have completed additional training and work in the clinic setting. Medical Assistants work hand-in-hand with our surgeons to develop your wellness plan pre- and post-op. They will monitor your progress throughout the entire process.
- A Weight Loss Coordinator is your first call if you have any questions. They handle the day-to-day contact with our patients. In addition, they may hold support groups, which are a great resource for you after surgery.
Our physicians see patients at Overlook Medical Center. They are affiliated with Atlantic Medical Group and are participating providers of Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
