The foot is a complex part of the body, containing many joints, nerves, and small bones. Some injuries may occur due to strenuous sports activities; others may be the result of genetic deformities, improper footwear, or overuse.

We perform surgeries to correct common foot problems, such as:

  • Posterior tibial tendon reconstruction
  • Spring ligament repair

Cartilage Repair

Cartilage is a connective tissue found many parts of the body, including in the foot and ankle. While cartilage damage in the feet and ankles has historically been treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to reduce pain and inflammation, there are now many other methods of combating the problem, only a few of them surgical. We are trained in a variety of cartilage reparation treatments where you will heal faster:

  • Fresh osteochondral allograft transplantation
  • Juvenile allograft transplantation
  • Platelet rich plasma treatment
  • Bone marrow stimulation
  • Bone marrow aspirate
  • Matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation (MACI)
