Morristown Medical Center’s Geriatrics Fellowship Program comprises 12 months of clinical training in geriatric medicine in order to prepare trainees for clinical practice in the ambulatory, home care, long term care and/or acute care setting, as well as careers as clinical educators in geriatric medicine.
Those accepted into the program will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and a play a significant teaching role with medical students and residents. At the completion of one year, fellows will be eligible and well prepared to sit for the board-certification examination in geriatrics.
Our program is designed to fully meet the requirements adopted by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the Guidelines for Fellowship training of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS).
