Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry

Geriatric psychiatry is designed to address the specific difficulties faced by older adults, including higher incidences of depression, isolation and dependence on other family members. At Atlantic Behavioral Health, we provide services to improve the health and restore the quality of life of geriatric patients.

Our staff of psychiatrists, nurses and social workers can evaluate the older adult to determine if they are suffering from psychosis, depression, dementia, anxiety, delirium and other cognitive conditions or mood disturbances. Family members are invited to join the evaluations.

Inpatient mental health services are available at Morristown Medical Center, Newton Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center.
