The first step in helping a child overcome an eating disorder is to contact the Pediatric Eating Disorders Center at Atlantic Health System Children's Health for a phone assessment with one of our staff members. He or she will gather important information about the patient’s health history and current behaviors.

Next, we will schedule an in-person evaluation with a therapist and adolescent medicine physician. Working together with the parents and the patient, they will create a treatment plan that paves the road to recovery. Physician services are provided by Atlantic Medical Group and are on staff at Goryeb Children's Hospital.
