The good news is that with the proper care, full recovery from pediatric anorexia nervosa, pediatric bulimia nervosa and other pediatric eating disorders is possible. The Pediatric Eating Disorders Center at Atlantic Health System Children's Health can help. Our program is the only one in New Jersey that is exclusive to children ages 8 to 12 and adolescents ages 13 to 21. Parents are included in all aspects of care from the earliest stages of diagnosis through treatment.
Eating Disorders Specialists
Our multidisciplinary program’s team of health care professionals includes board-certified adolescent medicine physicians, psychologists, a psychiatrist, nurses, social workers, mental health therapists, creative arts therapists, and nutritionists. All of them are specially trained in providing comprehensive assessments and treatments for eating disorders and related problems. Our Center specializes in Family-Based Treatment – the only evidence-based treatment for anorexia and pediatric anorexia.
