When a baby dies, family and friends can help support and comfort you, but you may need professional help to manage your pain. Atlantic Health System's Bereavement Program for Pregnancy and Infant Loss is staffed by medical professionals with perinatal bereavement counseling training.
Our Perinatal Loss Support Group provides free and unconditional support for individuals and families that have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or the loss of an infant. Parents can connect with those who have experienced similar pain and help one another adjust to life without their expected child.
Two experienced registered nurses facilitate the support group, one is a certified doula and educator and the other is a certified bereavement facilitator. Parents are welcome to come as often as needed and are free to end their participation whenever they are ready.
Call 908-522-2946 to register or learn more about the group, which meets virtually every month.
