Western Region Foundations Present Successful Kentucky Derby-themed Event
Over 500 attendees experienced Derby Day at “An Evening of Wine & Roses” held on April 17th at Perona Farms in Andover.
The event, which benefited both Newton and Hackettstown Medical Centers, featured live music, raffles, and tastings of fine wines, spirits, and culinary specialties from several of Sussex and Warren Counties’ top restaurants and caterers. A VIP guest option took the experience to an even higher level, with specialty bourbons and wines, tasty Derby-themed delicacies, and a special guest appearance by a Percheron (horse), who wore a blanket of roses and posed for photos with guests.
The event raised $300,000 and was made possible through the support of sponsors such as RoNetco Supermarkets, Inc.; Atlantic Health System; the event host site, Perona Farms; and many more individuals and businesses.
“Both Foundations are so fortunate to be supported by such generous business communities, loyal donors and friends,” explained Megan Sandow, Chief Philanthropy Officer. “All proceeds from “An Evening of Wine and Roses” remain local to support important projects Newton and Hackettstown Medical Centers.”
