At Atlantic Health System Cancer Care, resource navigators are available every day of the week to help minimize the burden of cancer on patients and their caregivers.
These non-medical volunteers, who are extensively trained by Atlantic Health System Cancer Care and the American Cancer Society, provide information on resources and programs that assist patients before, during and after cancer treatment. Such resources, offered both within our cancer center and throughout the community, may include support groups, wig providers, transportation services, financial assistance and more.
Cancer patients can arrange for a resource navigator to visit them either by making a request through one of our nurses or through our patient and family information centers. They may also call 973-682-2146 for a resource navigator at Morristown Medical.
Volunteers interested in becoming a resource navigator may call the Morristown Medical volunteer coordinator at 973-971-5008.
