Description | The sports medicine elective provides 4th year medical students with exposure to and experience in diagnosing and caring for patients with sports related injuries and conditions. The curriculum will include both clinical experiences and teaching conferences. |
Learning Experience | Clinical experience:
Orthopedic Clinic: This clinic allows students to participate in the care of acute musculoskeletal injuries and in post-operative care. A program faculty member will be present at all times to teach the student. Students will:

Feedback & Evaluation | The attending preceptor and the student will meet to discuss the achievement of the abovementioned goals. At the end of the rotation, the student may be required to do a presentation, which will be considered part of the evaluation process. A final, written evaluation will be completed at the end of the rotation. |
