CHAIR OF PEDIATRICS, GORYEB CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL SYSTEM MEDICAL DIRECTOR, PEDIATRIC SERVICE LINE
Dr. Beth C. Natt has joined Atlantic Health as the Chair of Pediatrics for Goryeb Children’s Hospital-Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center as well as the System Medical Director for Pediatrics for Atlantic Health System. Dr. Natt comes to us after a role at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center where she was the Regional Clinical Director of Hospital Partnership Operations, and was responsible for the operational oversight of 4 different community-based pediatric inpatient units. Prior to her time at Connecticut Children’s, she was a Medical Director of Inpatient Pediatrics at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital, where she was the site director for the Pediatric Residency.
Dr. Natt graduated medical school from University of Connecticut with her MD as well as Master’s of Public Health and has recently completed her MBA with a focus in Healthcare from Yale in 2023. She has been active on a national level with the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a Senior Fellow of Hospital Medicine through the Society of Hospital Medicine.
Dr. Natt is a mother of 4, loves being outdoors, and will show you pictures of her dogs any chance she gets.
Niva Shah, DO
Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Dr. Niva Shah is a Pediatric Hospitalist and Pediatric Residency Program Director at Goryeb Children's Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ and earned her medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, NY. She completed her pediatric training followed by a chief residency year at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. She subsequently joined the Pediatric Hospitalist Division and the medical education team as an Associate Program Director.
Dr. Shah serves as one of the Medical Student Clerkship Directors for the rotating core clerkship medical students as well as the rotation supervisor for the inpatient sub-internship rotation. Additionally, she chairs the Pediatric Simulation Education Committee, leads the Morbidity and Mortality Conference, and is a member of the Goryeb Academic Pediatric Support (GAPS) program. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Shah is committed to pediatric hospital medicine with a passion for resident education, mentorship, and dedication to teaching.
In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys reading new books, trying to cook new recipes, eating out at different restaurants, and riding her Peloton.
Laura Criscenzo, DO
Associate Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Medical Director, Healthstart Program
Dr. Laura Criscenzo is a general pediatrician for Atlantic Medical Group, Medical Director of the Overlook Medical Center Pediatric HealthStart Clinic and serves as an Associate Program Director for the Goryeb Pediatric Residency program at Goryeb Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Criscenzo is committed to community pediatrics and child advocacy and maintains a special interest in pediatric nutrition and obesity.
Dr. Criscenzo received her BS from Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. She completed a master’s program at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City where she went on to receive her medical degree, as well.
She completed her pediatric training as well as a chief year at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. After residency she joined as a general pediatrician with Atlantic Medical Group and maintained a close relationship working with the pediatric residents while also precepting at the HealthStart clinic as well as becoming a faculty advisor for the residency’s Journal Club.
When she is not working, Dr. Criscenzo enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, watching hockey and college football, and exercising with Peloton.
Stephanie Levine, DO, FAAP
Associate Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Dr. Stephanie Levine is an Adolescent Medicine subspecialist of the Atlantic Medical Group and Associate Program Director for the Goryeb Pediatric Residency Program at Atlantic Health System.
She received her undergraduate degree at SUNY Binghamton and her medical degree at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed both her Pediatric Residency and Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Schneider Children’s Hospital of Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
After 25 years in private practice Dr. Levine joined Atlantic Health System and now dedicates her expertise and special interest to the care of adolescents. Her passions include caring for eating disorder patients, providing gynecological care to this very special age group, preventive health care, community outreach, and education.
She sits on many committees, has been involved in school health, maintains professional memberships, is on the board of Keeping Babies Safe, and has contributed to many educational articles.
In her free time she enjoys singing, playing the piano, Mahjong, reading, walking, and being with her family.
