Vice President, Revenue Cycle
Lisa Monfredi, RN, is the Vice President, Revenue Cycle for Atlantic Health, a large not-for-profit health system located in Northern New Jersey since 2016. In her more than 35 years of health care experience, she has worked in the Finance arena since 2002, having served first as Budget & Reimbursement Manager, then as Director of Budget & Reimbursement & Patient Financial Services. Prior to coming to Finance, Ms. Monfredi worked for Information Systems at Morristown Memorial Hospital for 7 years, implementing a scheduling and billing system for Surgical Services as well as a Pharmacy system.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, Ms. Monfredi is responsible for oversight of system wide Patient Access which includes Central Scheduling, Pre-Authorization, Hospital and Emergency Department registration and Financial Counseling. Oversight of system wide Health Information Management departments which includes Coding, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Charge Master Maintenance, Chart to Bill audits, Chart Correction, Transcription, Release of Information and Data Integrity of the Master Patient Index. Oversight of Patient Financial Services which includes Hospital Billing, Collections, Customer Service, Cash Posting, Denial Management and Financial and Operational Reporting. Additionally, she has a team addressing revenue cycle integrity.
Ms. Monfredi is also a Registered Nurse, graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing. Her nursing experience includes staff positions in ICU, ICU Step-down and Cardiac units and Nurse Manager of Surgical Services. She is a member of the New Jersey chapters of Healthcare Financial Management Association and American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.
