Overlook Family Medicine residents participate in didactic lectures, teaching rounds and supervised clinical care of laboring patients on the Labor and Delivery floor at Overlook Medical Center. Residents participate in both family medicine service deliveries and the deliveries managed by private obstetric attending physicians. Under the direction of our Family Medicine attending, who specializes in women's health, and ob/gyn hospitalists, the resident obtains longitudinal experience over the three-year program by caring for and delivering his or her own prenatal patients seen in the Health Start Prenatal Clinic. During our gynecology block rotation, second-year residents divide time between the outpatient gynecology clinic, urogynecology office, gynecologic oncology and the family practice office.
