Overlook Family Medicine residents have many excellent orthopedic surgeons from which to choose when participating in this rotation. During the rotation the resident is exposed to a wide variety of acute and chronic orthopedic problems as well as rheumatology. While working with the orthopedist and rheumatologist, the resident will acquire the skills and knowledge needed to provide orthopedic care in the primary care setting. The resident will also recognize when an orthopedic problem requires consultation with the orthopedic surgeon.
